Jsf106 | Jan 28, 2010

I would have to say….. Sweeney Todd, Secret Window, and I know what you did last summer.

Why?

Well, Sweeney Todd has a gripping story and the atmosphere feels eerie and weird and it is also directed by Tim Burton

Secret Window, because it offers scares and the twist is so genuine. Stephen King wrote the book.

I know what you did last summer because it is scary…..

To be honest, that is a cr*p list and I juts picked out those three because they are a little bit better than the rest. Sorry!

Lookout, The
Lookout, The (2007)

IMDB rating: 7.40

Plot: An admired high school hockey player (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) with a bright future foolishly takes a drive in the night with his girl friend and two other friends with his headlights off with devastating results. The former athlete is left with a brain injury that prevents him from remembering many things for extended periods of time. To compensate, he keeps notes in a small notebook to aid him in remembering what he is to do. He also lives with a blind friend (Jeff Daniels) who aids him. Obviously, with the mental incapacitation, he is unable to have meaningful work. Thus he works as a night cleaning man in a bank. It is there he comes under the scrutiny of a gang planning to rob the bank. The leader (Matthew Goode) befriends him and gets him involved with a young woman (Isla Fisher) who further reels him in. After they get close and after reeling him in with his own failures, the bank plan unfolds. Confused but wanting to escape his current existence, he initially goes along with the scheme. After realizing he is being used, he attempts to stop the robbery, which of course immediately goes awry. Bruce McGill and Alberta Watson also co-star as the young man’s parents, who still search for the person that was there before the tragic crash.

Movie help??????????????
I remember watching a movie quite a few years back and would like to know if anyone knows what it is called. I remember that there were two teenage boys, best friends, and the one boy was troubled…hated his father (or step father) so they plan to murder him. As the boy goes upstairs and shoots his father in the head while sleeping, his friend (who was with a shotgun downstairs on the lookout) accidentally shoots his friends mother who walked into the house. I remember them both going to prison but the troubled boy swears he will kill his friend for killing his mother.

Does this ring a bell for anyone??

i think it is illegal to watch or download from the internet.

Is my idea of a Left 4 Dead 3 good?(redo)?
Well, in my previous question, I said I was a HUGE FAN of the Left 4 Dead series and I actually made my OWN version of a Left 4 Dead 3 that won’t be released…Poo… ANYWAYS, on with the show!

Campaigns! Featuring 7 challenging, and extended campaigns!

I. Dead City
-The Radio Station- Use the tank artillery cannon to have it shoot and burn off the rubble that is blocking your path.
-The Liftbridge- Lower the bridge and fight off the horde. Once the bridge is lowered, open the alarmed gate and run across the bridge to shut off the alarm and to re-lift the bridge to prevent any zombies from running across.
-The City- Open the trailer and once the perimeter is breached, run to the tower to shut it off. Halfway through, you will stumble upon a cargo. Use the nearby crane to have it lift the cargo from your path. Make way to the hotel.
Hotel- Use the radio near the elevator and the chopper pilot will tell you to use the elevator to get to the roof. Halfway down, the elevator will suddenly break and drop to the shaft. He will then ask about the noise and tell you to run up the stairs as quickly as possible! The finale will begin once you enter the staircase and up the 45 stories!
II. Scary Movie
- Woods- Use the chainsaw weapon to have it chop off the tree onto the house. Run along the trunk and over the fences.
- Graveyard- Shoot the gas cans to have them burn down the wooden rubble.
- Mall- Open the alarmed doors and search for the correct control panel. There will be 3 control panels and only one of them is the correct one. If you use an incorrect one, you’ve just summoned another endless horde on you. Only the correct panel can shut it off.
- Parking Lot- Teehee! All cars in the parking lot are alarmed! And the worst thing is, you have to open the alarmed gate and run through the maze of cars and making sure you don’t trip on any alarmed cars.
-Cinema- 2 sides of the theater room is completely blown off. Play the movie and crank up the volume to signal the military rescue vehicle. YAY! Movies!

III. Deep Fog
- Suburbs- Just a panic event(alarmed car). The fog is not that thick…yet..
- Forest- Open the gate and run to the other side to shut it off. Don’t use the wrong switch! There are 3 switches! The fog is pretty thick.
- Junkyard- Use the wrecking ball vehicle to have it smash away the rubble. But remember to shut it off afterwards! You don’t want it moving and swinging around, hitting random things! If you get hit once by the ball, you will get automatically incapacitated! Fog is getting thicker…
- Factory- Open the alarmed door to find another alarmed door! Open that one to find another alarmed door! This is a new type of Crescendo called the Multi-Crescendo.Getting thicker……
- Hedgemaze- Signal the other side by using a flare. Then, once they signal back, run through the hedgemaze to get to the barnyard where rescue awaits! Very thick. Watch out!
IV. Snow Warning
- Subway- Turn on the train to have it take you through the subway tunnels. Light snow.
- Park- Infested with crows that will ALWAYS activate a panic event. Medium snow.
- Condos- Turn on the garage switch to have it open up for you. Blizzard.
-School- You arrive at the rescue zone to find your rescuers DEAD. Scavenge 10 gas cans from the classrooms and fill up the snow-truck. Big Blizzard
V. Hell Hail(identical to Hard Rain)
- Hoods- Alarmed car. (no hail)
- Village- Open the gate and run to the other side to close it. Halfway, you will stumble upon another gate, open that too and run! light hail
-Village Escape- You got the gas, now go back through the gated village. Same as above, open open close… getting heavier
-Return to Hoods- Panic Event heavy hail
-Hoods Escape- You return to the site of where you parked your truck to find it completely totaled by the hail. But luckily, the heavy hail broke a fence for you. Head through the pathway behind the broken fence and get to the bus station and use the radio to summon a rescue.
VI. Blood Ice
-Streets- Panic Event. Watch out, you WILL slide into danger due to slippery grounds.
- Townsquare- Talk to the store owner and he will tell you that he and his wife are in need of supplies. He will tell you to head down to the market right across the street and grab a pack of cola and the box of sandwiches. If you are playing Single-Player Offline, you will need to make the trip 2x. Deliver the cola and sandwiches to him and he will clear the path for you.
Rink- The entire rink is fenced off on the outside. Use the race car outside to have it ram down the half-broken sign. Walk along the sign and jump into the ice rink INFESTED with Rollers.
-Stadium- You are at the football stadium, where the Chargers are going against the Tanks! WEE! Signal the chopper by using a flare.
VII- No Signal
-Fire Department- Watch out for the alarmed TRUCKS. The horde that is summoned will have more zombies than alarmed cars.
- Sewer- Infested with Boomers. Use the switch
I dont know what happened to the rest of my details. :O But for the No Signal campaign, the other maps are Freeway, Town, and Apartment. :/ Sorry guys…. I wrote so much, i think that’s why they shortened it…………
The new infected are:
1. Hammer(boss infected) Large mallet-like hands
2. Druggy- Runs up to survivors and drugs them. Their vision will be blurry and they will see things that aren’t there. Walking will be weird.
3. Roller- Curls into a ball and rolls at a survivor. Has rock-like skin on its back.
4. Eagle- First flying infected. Swoops down from the air and grabs a survivor. While in the air, it can drop the survivor and when it does, survivor will hit the ground and get incapped automatically.(realism = death)
5. Breaker- New boss. Grabs a survivor and either throws them or breaks their bones repeatedly.
6. Stinger- Stings a survivor with its tail. Survivor’s health will rapidly deplete.
New Survivors and their Sole Survivor Campaigns!
Ling- Terminal Terminator
Michael- Vicous Veteran
Zack- Campus Killer
Juan- Soccer Smasher
No Signal continued:
Sewer- Use the switch to have it open the door for you.
Freeway- Infested with alarmed cars.
Town- Use the forklift to have it lower a path for you.
Apartment- Fight for "survival". Rescue will come after a period of time, just like in Survival Mode!. :) Oh yeah, and for Snow Warning, glows around Survivors in the snow will be faded, as well as in Deep Fog and Hell Hail! :D
My opinion on my campaigns is that it will be very difficult on Expert mode, especially the Scary Movie campaign! LOL. New Event is called the Search Gauntlet Crescendo. HAHA that is very long! Also, 2 new modes will be added! Realistic Versus and Rush mode. Rush mode is basically a race! No saferooms, just checkpoints! Race to the finish line where rescue awaits, just like the Bridge finale from the Parish in L4D2!, except 4 times longer.
Some Rush Mode maps are the Beach(Swimmer UCI exclusive!), a theme park, a hedgemaze, and a city! There is many more maps! The campaigns dont work well with this since Rush mode has NO crescendos and no waiting. Hence the name, Rush mode. Wouldn’t that be AWESOME?! Every players dream. To rush and leave their friends behind. That’s why I made it 4 versus 5. :) I cut out the idea of Survival Versus since I found out it would be ultra hard.

AWESOME! They should get ideas from this.
Wut i was thinking is, a purple cover, new survivors, flamethrower, new infected. any other improvements will be good too.

Panic Room
Panic Room (2002)

IMDB rating: 7.00

Plot: After her divorce, Meg Altman and her daughter Sarah move into an old-fashioned house with one very modern addition: a “panic room” which is virtually impossible to break into, designed for refuge during a home invasion. In their first night in the house a trio of thieves do break in and Meg and Sarah rush into the panic room. However, the intruders are looking for something inside the panic room, and given the recent move the room’s hotline to the police hasn’t been hooked up yet. Worse, Sarah is diabetic and the room doesn’t contain any sugar…

What happened during his time-out?
Last night I put my 4 year old son in his room for a time out. After just a few minutes I went in to talk to him and he was lying on his bed on his belly, his eyes were wide open completely dilated (his eyes are blue but you could only see black!), his eyes were rapidly moving all over the place, he was drooling and one of his legs kept twitching. I called his name a couple times with no response, his eyes looked like they were trying to focus on me but didn’t. Panicking, I rolled him onto his back and continued saying his name. He "snapped out of it", and looked up at me and said "what?" like he didn’t know what happened. When I asked him what happened he said he was sleeping. Im not sure yet if Im going to take him to the dr, or wait to see if it happens again. Any ideas on what happened? He has no history of any health problems.

Could have been a seizure, I would defiantly take him to the doctor.
Danielle | Feb 04, 2010

I would take him to a neurologist. I wouldn’t wait til it happened again. I could have been a seizure or other things. Get him checked out for sure.
harley_cowgirl_20 | Feb 04, 2010

I’m no doctor, but it could have been a seizure! All of those symptoms are common during a seizure! My son sometimes will zone out and his eyes don’t blink, and he doesn’t hear me if I speak to him. My doctor told me to keep a journal of when it happens, and that it could be petit mal seizures. I would definitely go to the doctors though, because you can never be too careful with seizures..if it happened when he was outside, or standing, he could fall and seriously hurt himself! Good luck!
rivendells s | Feb 04, 2010

take him to the dr. He might be epileptic! thats really scary!! dont wait for it to happen again, because it might be so bad that something worse could happen and he wont snap out of it, take him in and tell the dr. exactly what happened! they will run tests on him and you will be able to see whats goin on! good luck i hope hes okay!
mE | Feb 04, 2010

sounds like a seizure…you definitely need to have him taken to the dr. thats absolutely the responsible thing to do. If this happened to my dog, id have taken him to the vet. if it happened to my kid, i probably wouldve called 911…please please please have him checked out.
Courtney | Feb 04, 2010

You haven’t taken him to a doctor yet? It sounds like he had a seizure! You really need to call.
fox_maple | Feb 04, 2010

He most likely had a seizure which is extremely serious. You should make a list of thing that happened so you don’t forget and take him to the doctor.

Seizure symptoms are:

Borborygmi (rumbling noises produced by gas in the intestines)
Flushing
Incontinence
Nausea, vomiting
Piloerection (goose bumps)
Pupillary dilation – dilated pupils
Sweating
Tachycardia (rapid heart rate)
Twitching or shaking
Dreamy state
Asymmetrical posturing of the limbs
Rapid eye movements
No response to sounds or noises

He fits under many of the symtoms. This is VERY serious and needs medication. Take him to the doctor as soon as possible. Most people would call 911 if this happened.
made you look = ) | Feb 04, 2010

I agree he should see a doc sooner rather than later. It sounds like a seizure and those can be very dangerous it didn’t sound like a gran mall seizure (jerking and flailing about) it sounds like a "staring seizure" which there are 2 diff kinds. But with any kind of seizure medication can be very important. But don’t go to crazy with worry many children do grow out of staring seizures it just depends on what kind.

Another thing you might look into is dehydration. It can present in seizure like episodes. Either way he should see a doc
SonjeE25 | Feb 04, 2010

Wow, deffinantly don’t wait and take him striaght away to a doc.

How many pets are too many?
Hi I am a very planned out person and currently i am 14 years old and I was wondering if 6 pets are too many? First of all I am going to have two children (preferably a boy and a girl: Sidney and Nathan). And I am going to have a cat and a dog (Husky and African serval: Mia and Duma) and I will give my children the choise of having a pet hamster (dwarf or teddy bear I dont care) and i want to have a family 30-50G fish tank ( im NOT going to count every fish because thats dumb…every tank is in my opinion is the equivilant to one pet) the tank will be filled with only live bearing fish and the last pet but not least I might get a Rat…idk if its just a phase that i want one rite now but if my wife is fine with it i will get a rat so that amount of pets i want are 5-6 and 7 max… is that too many pets because i dont want my house to be a zoo… please help me thank you

– hamster will be in kids rooms( if they want one)
– Tank in Living room
– rat idk yet because my wife might not let me.
– litter bow in laundry room and if i do get the rat(Amy) she will be in me and my wife’s bathrrom (maybe)
– cat dog will be free to walk around the house but NOT IN FANCY LIVING ROOM
ps i know im kinda wierd but i plan things out like this LOL :)
thank you please help me
now that i think of it NO RAT so i guess i will only have 5 but really think about it dog and cat and each of my kids will have a small hamster in their room(outa site) and the tank is more of a decoration than a pet( i currently have fish and i know how to care for them so dant say bad things) so really only two will be visible and the other two will be in the kids rooms and the fish in the living room. give me your honest opinion i just dont wana be known as the crazy family with a zoo in the house…wut do u think???
= the dog WILL be outside for some part o the day…not the cat

no, 6 pets are just fined, the only thing is you must have enough food and time to take care of them.

Brilliant E | Dec 30, 2009

well i know in CA the limit is 3 in a household. my parents own a lot and the ASPCA tried to seize them and told us we can only have 3 so 3 i guess? well they only had cats and dogs i dont know about rats, fish etc…. lol
Jenny | Dec 30, 2009

Well, 6 is a lot of pets to have in the house. Maybe if you put the dog and cat outside, and avoided the rat all together, it would be a little better.
~Caitlyn~ | Dec 30, 2009

no effence but ur kinda scarey
Ally | Dec 30, 2009

The cat will eat te fish, rat and hamster, reducing it to a cat and dog. So 2 is the number.
OneLastRevolutionary | Dec 30, 2009

I think the number of pets depends on your situation if you have the time space and money then go for it. I have a total of 6 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 ferrets, 4 turtles, multiple fish tanks and 4 tortoises I love my "zoo" if I didn’t have the life I have now then I probably wouldn’t have so many animals.

Just remember you can plan plan plan but life may not end up the way you planned I speak from experience

Spiritually speaking, is ignorance an alibi?
If a person interprets the Bible a certain way and lives a good life according to this interpretation, but after dying, another person of higher religious authority says that the interpretation of this person was wrong and that this person was in fact sinning somehow every day of their life, will the person who died be punished in the afterlife for it?

Well, if I say yes, someone else might come along in due time and say I was wrong.

Same thing if I say no.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t….

I say don’t sweat it.

If a person reads the bible and believes the gospels, the only conclusion to come to is that Jesus saves us from our sins. Whatever they are, period. God knows the intention of the heart..Both God and you know if you are being willfully disobedient.

There’s only one thing to do to make sure someone is a true Christian, "Test those Christians"! Below is a link to the "True Christian Test" it also got one of my questions reported and deleted today.

In the Jewish view, no. The world to come, whatever that may or may not be, is open to everyone who lives decently. The Tanakh tells the story of our particular way of doing things, it was never supposed to be thought of as applying to everyone.

Of course Christians who are inclined to see things the way you described are also very much inclined to tell Jews that we got it wrong. %-)

can I sue my job for defamation of character and breach of confidentiality?
I work at a state jail were I was accused of bringing in prison contraband to an inmate. I was served a letter stating what I was being accused of, and also stated that the investigation was to remain confidential. Over the next 2 months, staff, inmates, and the public knew not only what I was under investigation for, but also the findings in the investigation. I have also been associated with a prison gang, my car was keyed, and my family threatened. All of this has been done to me withing the last 2 months leading me to believe that the facility that I work is leaking confidential information to everyone. This is causing a ridiculous amount of rumors which jeopardize my integrity at work. Do I have a case and do I have a chance to win?

You need to get a lawyer and see what options are available to you in this situation. If they did breach confidentiality, it is wrong and if you have been unjustly targeted due to this breach…..then they need to be held accountable.

Yet, I do have a question…….were you bringing contraband to the inmates? Make sure you are innocent before you start throwing stones.

You work at a prison and you’re accused of smuggling contraband to an inmate and having associations with a prison gang. Those are strong allegations for someone working in the prison system. I hope you’re innocent of these charges, then get a lawyer who can help you. Unfortunately, once the rumor mill gets started, there’s no telling where it will end. Sounds like you wouldn’t want to work there after what’s already happened to you there. No matter what the outcome of this "investigation", your integrity has already been compromised.
What worries me a bit is the threats against your family. That sounds like something thugs would do. Could it be that someone just wants you out of that job? No job is worth your family’s safety. Get that taken care of immediately.

Anyone can attempt to sue anyone else for anything. Your considerations must be "Will my case be dismissed"? Do I have sufficient evidence to support my allegations to convince a jury"? "Is it worth the time, effort, aggravation (future consequences) and money to pursue"? Once you have answered these questions in your mind, you’ll have your answer of whether to go forward. So, (1) of course you can sue and (2) an attorney can tell you if you have a case to win based on what he/she can prove or at least convince the jury of in court.

As a former corrections officer and sargeant, I understand what you are saying. It happened all the time where I worked also. However, when I stopped being an officer and began working in administration, I saw the light about the prison grapevine. I came to realize that it was not the bosses that were spreading the rumors or letting go with confidential information on purpose. Inmates worked in administration as cleaners and repair people. They would overhear snippets of conversation about a concern over an officer…especially once paperwork had begun…and those snippits became information that they joyfully spread to other inmates, who then in turn spread to staff. Most of the time, the information was only partially true…but believe me, the inmate population has ears everywhere. It amazed me every day. I noticed that in the course of a day, the warden or another higher up could be standing in the door of the office and discussion such issues quietly, not even realizing that an inmate was within earshot. When they are around all the time, you do forget that they are there. You cease to notice them. Do also keep in mind, that inmates like nothing better than spreading rumors about officers to other officers. If the smallest piece of the puzzle fits, they will enlarge it to the point where it becomes a major incident.

The inmate overhears a confidential conversation and passes it to another. That inmate then makes buddy buddy with another staff person and spreads it. Gossip is the fastest spreading thing on earth in my opinion. Once even one officer has gotten the word about what was an innocent thing to begin with, he goes to the bar that night and tells his buddies…and on and on.

Breaking confidentiality is a huge issue and most higher ups would not endanger themselves or their facility by deliberately breaking it. I doubt if you would have much of a case unless it could have been shown that they were actually overheard by a reputable source disclosing details of the situation to someone who was not supposed to know about it.

If you are being accused of bringing in contraband, that is a serious allegation as you know. But think about where the suspicion may have come from in the first place. Did you tick off an inmate that thought he could get on the good side of another officer by making this accusation? I saw that happen on more than one occasion.

I wish you luck.
