Here are 3 recipes for cooking large pearl tapioca pudding:

Stovetop, Double Boiler Method:

Large Pearl Tapioca Pudding (AKA Eyeball Pudding)

SERVES 8

3 1/2 ounces large pearl tapioca
5 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs, separated
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Bring milk to a boil in a double boiler over simmering water.
Add salt and tapioca to milk.
Stirring constantly, cook tapioca in double boiler for 1 hour or until tapioca is clear and milk is thickened.
Beat egg whites with 1/2 cup sugar until firm peaks, set aside.
Beat yolks with remaining 1/2 cup sugar.
Temper yolks with some of the hot custard.
Stir tempered yolks into hot custard, cook over double boiler an additional 15 minutes.
Stir in vanilla.
Remove from heat and gently fold in egg whites.
Pour tapioca into a serving bowl, cover and chill.

Slow Cooker Method using Brown Sugar and Walnuts with Whipped Cream Topping:

Large Pearl Tapioca Pudding

Ingredients:
1 c Large pearl tapioca
1 1/2 ts Vanilla extract
4 c Water
1 c Chopped English walnuts
3 c Brown sugar
Whipped Cream Topping
1 ds Salt

——————————————————————————–
Large Pearl Tapioca Pudding Instructions:

This is another unique pudding and a very old recipe.
Cooking the large pearl tapioca slowly for hours in a brown-sugar sauce gives this dessert an intense flavor.
The additon of English walnuts provides a satisfying crunch.
Frequently this pudding was cooked in the oven or in a double boiler, but get ideal results, requiring no watching, with a crockpot.
Place the tapioca and water in a crockpot.
Soak overnight.
Do not drain tapioca.
Add brown sugar and salt and cook for 12 hours on low.
Stir once in a while.
The tapioca becomes clear and the texture is gelatinous at the end of the cooking period.
Let cool.
Add vanilla, a bit more salt if needed, and the walnuts.
Transfer to a shallow serving bowl and spread top liberally with Whipped Cream Topping.

NOTE: Large pearl tapioca requires long, slow cooking to become transparent.
And each pearl has a tiny bit of starch in the middle of it that sometimes never completely cooks up which, though edible, looks unpleasant.

The crockpot is absolutely perfect for cooking these big pearls–and that little starchy bead completely disappears.

Plot: Jimmy runs away to be by himself after a bad day at school. He takes his flute down by the sea to relax. When he lays the flute down it becomes alive. (Turns to solid gold with diamond studs). Plotting to steal is a witch named Witchiepoo. Jimmy hops aboard a beautiful magic talking board that wants to take him out to sea. But the boat actually belongs to the Witch… who turns the boat back into a black evil craft meant to trap Jimmy and bring him to her. But Jimmy escapes from the boat and makes a swim for land. A Dragon named Pufnstuf was watching the whole event between Jimmy and the witch. Pufnstuf and the cops (two ants named Cling & clang) go to aid Jimmy. Jimmy ends up on the shores of Living island (where every thing is alive) & is rescued by Pufnstuf & Co. The rest of the movie has the witch trying to get the magic flute in order to impress Boss Witch and her Friend Witch Hazel (Mama Cass Elliot), while Pufnstuf and Friends are attempting to find ways to get Jimmy off of the island.

Well not Narnia, if you’ve ever read all the books you’d know why. Not shangri-la. That’s boring. The wizard of Oz’s emerald city is pretty cool. If a person interprets the Bible a certain way and lives a good life according to this interpretation, but after dying, another person of higher religious authority says that the interpretation of this person was wrong and that this person was in fact sinning somehow every day of their life, will the person who died be punished in the afterlife for it?

can I sue my job for defamation of character and breach of confidentiality?
I work at a state jail were I was accused of bringing in prison contraband to an inmate. I was served a letter stating what I was being accused of, and also stated that the investigation was to remain confidential. Over the next 2 months, staff, inmates, and the public knew not only what I was under investigation for, but also the findings in the investigation. I have also been associated with a prison gang, my car was keyed, and my family threatened. All of this has been done to me withing the last 2 months leading me to believe that the facility that I work is leaking confidential information to everyone. This is causing a ridiculous amount of rumors which jeopardize my integrity at work. Do I have a case and do I have a chance to win?

You need to get a lawyer and see what options are available to you in this situation. If they did breach confidentiality, it is wrong and if you have been unjustly targeted due to this breach…..then they need to be held accountable.

Yet, I do have a question…….were you bringing contraband to the inmates? Make sure you are innocent before you start throwing stones.
Good stuff | Feb 06, 2010

You work at a prison and you’re accused of smuggling contraband to an inmate and having associations with a prison gang. Those are strong allegations for someone working in the prison system. I hope you’re innocent of these charges, then get a lawyer who can help you. Unfortunately, once the rumor mill gets started, there’s no telling where it will end. Sounds like you wouldn’t want to work there after what’s already happened to you there. No matter what the outcome of this "investigation", your integrity has already been compromised.
What worries me a bit is the threats against your family. That sounds like something thugs would do. Could it be that someone just wants you out of that job? No job is worth your family’s safety. Get that taken care of immediately.
Monika M | Feb 06, 2010

Anyone can attempt to sue anyone else for anything. Your considerations must be "Will my case be dismissed"? Do I have sufficient evidence to support my allegations to convince a jury"? "Is it worth the time, effort, aggravation (future consequences) and money to pursue"? Once you have answered these questions in your mind, you’ll have your answer of whether to go forward. So, (1) of course you can sue and (2) an attorney can tell you if you have a case to win based on what he/she can prove or at least convince the jury of in court.
Ben | Feb 06, 2010

As a former corrections officer and sargeant, I understand what you are saying. It happened all the time where I worked also. However, when I stopped being an officer and began working in administration, I saw the light about the prison grapevine. I came to realize that it was not the bosses that were spreading the rumors or letting go with confidential information on purpose. Inmates worked in administration as cleaners and repair people. They would overhear snippets of conversation about a concern over an officer…especially once paperwork had begun…and those snippits became information that they joyfully spread to other inmates, who then in turn spread to staff. Most of the time, the information was only partially true…but believe me, the inmate population has ears everywhere. It amazed me every day. I noticed that in the course of a day, the warden or another higher up could be standing in the door of the office and discussion such issues quietly, not even realizing that an inmate was within earshot. When they are around all the time, you do forget that they are there. You cease to notice them. Do also keep in mind, that inmates like nothing better than spreading rumors about officers to other officers. If the smallest piece of the puzzle fits, they will enlarge it to the point where it becomes a major incident.

The inmate overhears a confidential conversation and passes it to another. That inmate then makes buddy buddy with another staff person and spreads it. Gossip is the fastest spreading thing on earth in my opinion. Once even one officer has gotten the word about what was an innocent thing to begin with, he goes to the bar that night and tells his buddies…and on and on.

Breaking confidentiality is a huge issue and most higher ups would not endanger themselves or their facility by deliberately breaking it. I doubt if you would have much of a case unless it could have been shown that they were actually overheard by a reputable source disclosing details of the situation to someone who was not supposed to know about it.

If you are being accused of bringing in contraband, that is a serious allegation as you know. But think about where the suspicion may have come from in the first place. Did you tick off an inmate that thought he could get on the good side of another officer by making this accusation? I saw that happen on more than one occasion.

I wish you luck.

is she definitely interested? do i have more work to do? thanks everyone!?
I’m a 21 year old college student that just has a basic question in regards to figuring out if a girl is interested in you. I noticed this specific girl last year in one of my classes than initiated conversation through facebook asking if she was the same major as I was and then it escalated to asking about classes next semester. We figured out that we were going to be in one of the same classes. First day of class she made it a point to say hi and talk and we then walked back together across campus. That night I had seen her at a bar that lots of college students go to on thursdays to dance/drink and she immediately spotted me out and pulled me into her and we danced for a while. Thinking she was just drunk i thought it might’ve been awkward during the next class, but it wasn’t. She asked if I had fun blah blah blah. Again, we walked back together across campus and just chatted about random things.

During class she asked me if I had the book for the class which is ridiculously expensive (180 bucks) and i said yes, and she pulled out a book that she ordered online that was an international edition that didn’t have the same material as the US edition. Obviously she was trying to save money so I told her not to buy the regular edition just yet and i’d try to find her a book so she wouldn’t have to pay that much money, and I did. I asked around a lot of people and i got someone to let me use the book and I got it for her. Here’s a list of ds games I want and have yet to purchase. Contact, Full Metal Alchemists: dual sympathy, advanced wars dual strike, advanced wars: days of ruin, the wizard of oz: beyond the yellow brick road, dragon quest monsters: Joker, Kingdom Hearts 358/ 3 days. I have beat dragon quest IV: chapters of the chosen, dragon quest V: hand of the heavenly bride, and the two final fantasies on ds final fantasy 3. I just wanted to give you an idea of what rpgs i like ones with magic and skills and spells and you and level up some and grind to your hearts content
i have played and beat suikoden teterkies, and know about ragnarok ds, dawn of heroes, shin megami tensei strange journey coming soon for ds, not into mario and luigi, nor zelda.

Ragnarok is coming out soon for the DS, i think it has already been released in Japan
Darren | Feb 02, 2010

ok here is my fav list of DC RPG’s

FF3
Chrono trigger
Zelda phantom hourglass
Mario and Luigi Partners in Time
FFXII
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

My personal fav is Golden sun but it’s pre DS but still works on DS. It was the best storyline of ever!!!!
SpirtQiQ | Feb 02, 2010

I would highly recommend Suikoden Tierkreis. It got great reviews on IGN and I’m about 5 hours into it. I love it so far. I would start with this game before you go through your list.
Todd | Feb 02, 2010

I would advise getting the suikoden ds game I beat it and completely loved it. I would also advise getting Mario and luigi bowser’s inside story (which supprisingly is a good rpg)
Reaper471 | Feb 02, 2010

I noticed your list had a total lack of Pokemon?
Even though it’s globally branded as "for kids" I’ll be 18 when I get the new one that’s coming out (Soulsilver) and until then, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum will keep you more than entertained.
Kingdom Hearts * days is amazing, and so is Chrono Trigger and Sonic Chronicles.
Also, if your planning on getting an advanced wars DS game, unless there’s a new one coming out, I recomend Dark Conflict.

In Hellboy II, why does the color of Liz's fire change?
In Hellboy Liz’s fire is blue, but in The Golden Army, it changes to red/orange. Is this because she has more control over her power in Hellboy II?

I also noticed that. It probably has something to do with that. It was never too specific on why the details of her ability changed, but I think it was because she was gaining more control over her powers.
When it comes to characters in movies/stories having a special power, is seems like some of their characteristics change when they gain more control over them. (ex. Jean Grey in X-Men: The Last Stand, her eyes completely blacked over when she was losing the struggle of control over her powers.)

Hope this helps!
Best of Luck!! ( ;
