Obviously, you have it all wrong when you stated your "rock" collection included Jason Mraz and John Mayer.
Maybe you should try Kenny G, that seems to be your style.

Hm… let me think. Well, I like to listen to Def leppard and ACDC, than there’s Guns N’ Roses, and Aerosmith. Foo Fighters… All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Blink-182, Coldplay, The cranberries, The Db’s, and Finger Eleven are people I can think at the top of my head.

Badfinger (some albums of theirs I’d recommend checking out first would be HEAD FIRST, WISH YOU WERE HERE and NO DICE)
Cross Canadian Ragweed (first of all, they’re labeled as country, but they shouldn’t be…for some albums of theirs to check out, I’d recommend GARAGE and MISSION CALIFORNIA)
Mountain (I honestly can’t name any specific albums, but they are great)
Also, since you said no country, look up the album PLAY by Brad Paisley…or, at least look up these songs of his: "Throttleneck," "Cliffs of Rock City" [in tribute to Eric Johnson], "Playing with Fire" [in tribute to Robben Ford] "Turf’s Up," "Munster Rag." Oh, that’s right–you’ve been missing out!
