Help on getting my children returned to me… first time user so please bear with me?
My ex partner has a court order to have the boys over night at a weekend, he didn’t return then last Saturday and took them to the police station to say he was breaking order, the police could only check boys were safe and happy to be with there dad and they said yes.
Since then he won’t let me see then or speak to them, it was in court today and he applied for sole residency which he didn’t get and has told people that boys want to live with him, they are 12 and 10, yet no one has spoken to the boys without there dad being there to give true answer.
I am desperate to see then and hug them, I am 5 months pregnant and have tried every avenue I can to sort it, I am being treated like a criminal when all I have ever done is love them, I am biased but they are two great boys who are well mannered and polite… all I can hope is the truth of what a control freak their dad is will out soon. Who is he to take your children whom you held for 9 months in in womb each and gave them life, who is he to take them away from you? If you know you’ve been a good mother you have nothing to worry about. However if you did something and your children have told him, you are screwed. He will use anything against you. Trust me I know this. As for your pregnancy situation, don’t stress so much because anything that happens might alter your blood pressure or anything else and you don’t want that. Get yourself a damn good lawyer. You’re gonna need one. This is gonna be a long journey.

So when you were in Court, today, didn’t you think to mention to the judge that the children had been removed? If the father’s application for Sole Residency failed, then it is implied that the children have to be returned to you at some time!

In a Court of the Family Division, the judges are meant to be a bit smarter than the ones in Adult Courts, and actually ask the Children (in private) what they want, discuss their concerns with them and usually appoint a Welfare Officer to keep an eye on them. They do not need to be told by lawyers what to do, as they are meant to look after the best interests of the child, whilst lawyers play an adversarial game and try to pour abuse on one or the other of the parents to show just how bad they are: precisely what you do NOT need in matters concerning children. And, not least, beause the two feuding parents have to try to continue a relationship, as they share the children, and lawyers really mess that up!

HOWEVER, do note that this is NOT a battle to decide whose children they are (the traditional father/mother ownership argument) but one to decide their welfare on the basis that BOTH parents have a place in their lives!

Talk to a Lawyer if you feel that you need representation, but I do wonder why that should really be necessary.

You know of advent children so that’s gone from my list. There isn’t too many pure cgi animated films around. FF7 advent children is probably the pinnacle of cgi made films however.

An unvaccinated stray w/out respiratory disease, is there any danger being in the same room as my other cat?
This little (….more like 10 LB 1 year old !) is a little beat up and on antibiotics but unfortunately wasn’t given a distemper shot at neutering today. However, he doesn’t appear to be symptomatic of an upper respiratory disorder (have watery or sticky discharge from the nose and eyes, nose and mouth sores, inflamed eyes, fever, etc.).

So I have decided to let him stay a member of the household, at least for the near term, and will schedule a full clinical soon. But in the meantime, in spite of trying to keep him quarantined from the other cats…there have already been a couple of escapes. Is there any hazard without sneezing or other the exchange of other air borne particles ?

Right now he’s a stray male cat I brought in from the cold and seems a little droopy but content enough to be hanging out in my room around the litter box…
He is negative for FIV/FeLV. So far no worms test but good appetite, weight and no abnormal anal behavior.

Before he is up to date on his shots and has had a full clinical, try to keep him as best as possible isolated from the other cats. He could have other diseases besides just an upper respiratory infection.. i.e. worms, feline leukemia, etc.

They’re both highly contagious and common. There something called a combo test, its tests for AIDS, FelV and Heartworms. It only take 3 drops of blood and can be done on an outpatient basis.

I can’t say that it’s 100% safe but I’d let him be in the house with mine. As a matter of fact, I’ve done the same thing. The new guy has been to the vet and looks healthy enough I wouldn’t worry much. I usually just watch closely for fights because new and old residents tend to test each other in those first days.

I have cats with upper respiratory infections they are very contagious. Put him someplace like a bathroom so he gets "visited’ fairly often during the times you’re home. You can clean and disinfect this area more easily. There’s the risk of other diseases it’s best he not be allowed to fraternize. Most vets suggest at least a two weeks isolation period a month is better. The other thing is that if he does become a permanent resident your cats will like him better and vice versa if you make the introduction very gradual.

Right now a few companies are developing a plasma rocket that will reduce the time to Mars and from Mars to Earth down to a few days. 50 years from now our current technology for space propulsion will look very ancient to the people of 2060.

There are some issues to be solved, but with no money or social/political will to solve them, they will never be solved. The big one, from what Earth-based research has been done (e.g. Biosphere), is how to keep the crew from flipping out and/or killing each other after being cooped up for 3 years.

We still got passed all that stuff because our love was much stronger, and now we were going to have a baby. Next step was to get married. The best choice because now we’re having a baby, we love each other, and our parents will feel better that we are married and live together. Meanwhile when we were still dating, I was still kind of dating this older man, and he would give me money meanwhile I dated my husband and I would take my hubby out at that time. I was what you would call a slut, but I didn’t feel like that at the time. Then when me and my hubby married, I stopped talking to that guy. While I was pregnant we had lots of fights and violent ones too, but it wasn’t as bad as before. Then once I had my baby we were pretty good, except that my baby is super white like me, and my husband is darkkin. I thought that the baby was from that older man I used to sneak around with, so I was really stressed out thinking that I f’d up, my past hs caught up with me, I lied to the man I love… bla bla… But it turns out that I got a DNA test and it’s my hubby’s baby. WOW that was a life lesson! Now me and my hubby are going through tough marriage times. He is a super jejealousan and doesn’t let me wear skirts or dresses even knee high, when I’m a girly girl and want to feel free and young while the time lasts because I’m only 20 years old. I still feel sexy, and I want to dress hot for myself, not other guys like he thinks, I’m through with that phase. He goes to radio scschoolnd comes home at 12 at night every night while he is hanging out with his friends after school, and I’m always home with the baby. I’m not sexually attracted to him that much anymore, momostlyecause I’m turned off by him throughout the day because he constantly calls me bad manes and cusses at me, and I get ma, and say I won’t tolerate him talking to me like that, which gets into bad fights.
